Egg Donor Compensation

Starting at $10,000. With opportunities to earn substantially more.

First-time egg donor compensation at Ovita typically starts at $10,000 per completed donation cycle. Experienced donors and donors selected for specific searches may receive substantially higher compensation.

Donation-related expenses are covered separately from your compensation.

What could your compensation look like?

Donor opportunity Compensation
First-time donors Typically starts at $10,000 per completed cycle.
Experienced donors Higher compensation may be available based on previous donation experience and documented cycle records.
Direct Search donors Compensation may be substantially higher for donors whose education, background or individual characteristics align with a family's specific search.

Your compensation is discussed with you and documented in your legal agreement before you proceed.

Returning donors may earn more

Your donation experience matters. Donors with favorable medical and donation records commonly receive higher compensation for subsequent cycles.

The amount is reviewed for each new match. Increases are not automatic, and every cycle requires medical clearance.

When will you be paid?

Compensation is typically paid after egg retrieval is completed, according to your legal agreement.

Funds are held in escrow and released under the agreed terms. Before treatment begins, you'll understand your compensation amount, payment timing and the arrangements that apply if the cycle is cancelled.

What if the cycle is cancelled?

If your physician stops the stimulation cycle before retrieval because of your response to medication or another medical concern, you will not receive the full completed-cycle compensation.

Instead, a cancelled-cycle payment applies according to your legal agreement. Your attorney will review the amount and conditions with you before you begin.

Your health takes priority, and your physician determines whether treatment should continue.

Your donation expenses are covered

You should not have to fund your donation. Approved donation-related expenses are covered separately, including:

  • Medical screening, treatment and monitoring
  • Prescribed cycle medications
  • Independent legal representation
  • Required travel, accommodation and transportation
  • Donation-related medical insurance

Our team will explain how expenses are arranged, which costs are paid directly and whether any approved expenses are reimbursed.

Medical coverage for added support

Donation-related medical insurance is arranged to help cover eligible complications associated with your cycle. We'll help you understand the policy information and whom to contact for assistance.

Coverage is subject to the policy's terms, limits and exclusions.
